SCIENTIST
Averica has an immediate opening in our Separations & Purification Group for a recent graduate (non-Ph.D.) as a full-time Scientist. The separations team maintains the technology and expertise to provide solutions to challenging problems for small drug molecules. You will participate in all aspects of the Company’s laboratory programs, including client projects and independent research using analytical instrumentation, technologies, and procedures. Key techniques will include chromatography, both HPLC and Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC), and NMR and mass spectrometry.
Qualifications
- BS degree in chemistry or related field
- Prior experience working in a laboratory or equivalent with college courses (undergrad research experience preferred)
- Previous internship in a research lab a plus
- Understanding of chiral chromatography a plus
- Experience in preparative chromatography a plus
- Knowledge of typical HPLC, MS, or NMR data systems a plus
- Organized, detail oriented with good time management
- Self-motivated with a confident, positive and resourceful attitude
- Good verbal communication and writing skills
