SEPARATIONS SCIENTIST

Averica has an immediate opening in our Separations & Purification Group for a full-time scientist with
specific preparative chromatography expertise. The scientist will have had hands on experience with SFC, UPLC, LC normal phase and reverse phase purification. The separations team maintains the technology and expertise to provide solutions to challenging problems for small drug molecules. In addition to expanding your experience with chromatographic and analytical technologies, this position offers the opportunity for poster and speaker presentations at national conferences.

 

Qualifications

Education:
  • A BS or MS degree in chemistry or related field.
Experience:
  • 2 years experience in preparative chromatography, QC experience is not applicable.
  • Candidate must have in-depth experience with chromatographic methods, especially in SFC, UPLC, and preparative chromatography.
  • Understanding of chiral chromatography a plus.
Other requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work independently and in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Strong technical skills are desirable, as troubleshooting and maintenance of the chromatography systems will be required.
  • The candidate must have the ability to multitask, lead several projects and communicate with chemists at all stages of the project.
